Well folks, Spring is just around the corner, and you know what that means!

That's right!, It's time to roll out and dust off that classic old travel trailer and get ready for another Vintage Vacations, Spring Antique Travel Trailer Rally. Once again, this years rally is going to be held at the wonderful Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, California, the week of Thursday, May 15, to Sunday May 18, 2003.

The Newport Dunes Resort sits on 100 acres in the beautiful Back Bay area of scenic Newport Beach and offers countless activities for you to enjoy while you are there including swimming, hiking and biking trails, boating, kayaking, shopping, dining and more!

With 81 pre-1970 trailers in attendance, last years rally at the Dunes was a great success. Everyone who attended had a great time swapping stories, meeting new friends and showing off their pride and joys. With 100 spaces booked, this year's rally will be even bigger and better than before.

As with the past 4 rallies, we are going to hold a big event day! On Saturday, May 17th we will have an open house for the public and media to come and join us and view all of the wonderful old rigs with all of their dressings and to get a taste of American history that they didn't learn about in school! The open house will be from 11:00am until 4:00pm.

That night, and back by popular demand, we will have a cattered Bar-b-que dinner on the beach and afterwards we will all gather around a camp fire on the beach, roast some marshmallows, sip on a cup of hot cocoa and nestle back into our chairs and blankets for an evening of what promises to be the best outdoor viewing of old trailer films the world has ever seen! Last year it got a little cold and wet so let all pray for better weather!

This year for the first time I will have a full rally commity working on all of the events and schedules and well as parking attendents to assist it getting you all set up in your space.

The cost of the event is $31.90(tax included) for each nights stay at the Newport Dunes Resort with a 2 night minimum (Fri and Sat) as well as a $25. registration fee to Vintage Vacations to help cover all of additional costs involved in holding the event.

As in the past, I am sure that we will be working on all of the final details of the rally up until the last moment, so we would love to hear your comments and suggestions on how we can create an incredibly wonderful event. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to call me!.

To ensure your site, all registration forms must be returned to Vintage Vacations no later than April 15th, 2003. Once I have received all of the registration forms and payments in the mail, you will be mailed a confirmation letter including a map to Newport Dunes and any other important information that we may have for you. We are currently working on a great new T-shirt design for the 5th rally and will have them available for purchase at the rally.

If you would like to be a part of our 5th annual rally, simply click on the link below , print a copy and fill out the form and mail it back to Vintage Vacations along with along with 2 checks, one to Vintage Vacations for $25, and one to Newport Dunes Resort for the total amount of all of the nights that you will be staying at the rally. If you want a camp site next to someone else, you will need to take that up with the Dunes when you arrive. I would suggest that you arrive early with the other party.
